Read to Rover

The Wisconsin Humane Society has been working with Milwaukee County Libraries since 2001 on the highly successful Read to Rover program. WHS and MPL have partnered to create a place where children with reading difficulties get an opportunity to read aloud to a supportive, non-judgmental listener, a registered therapy dog. Read to Rover has touched many lives and helped children reduce their apprehension of reading.

Read to Rover sessions are held year-round at multiple libraries inside and outside of Milwaukee County. Please contact Laura Nowlin at 414-431-6153 to find the participating library nearest you.
