Animal Care Technician

The Wisconsin Humane Society has an opportunity for a dependable, well-organized individual to join our team as an Animal Care Technician.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Clean and sanitize animal suites and our facility while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Provide animals with food and water
• Assist the veterinary staff
• Alert veterinary staff of potential illnesses in animals

Animal Care Technicians work in a fast paced environment with a competitive wage. Candidates must be able to work independently and in a team environment, and have strong attention to detail. Availability to work on evenings, weekends and holidays is a must. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a college degree is preferred. Formal animal care and/or cleaning experience preferred. Candidates must be committed to treating animals with kindness and respect.
